About Us

Calla McNamara Interiors was founded in 2014 by American designer, Calla McNamara. Her career began at an early age assisting her father, Jeff McNamara, a renowned photographer. Attending shoots for Luxe, Veranda, and New York Times, she gained exposure to some of the finest architects and interior designers the industry had to offer. Recent projects span Fairfield County, New York City and Miami. Her work is defined by neutral color palettes, minimalist architecture, and natural materials. Her ability to strike a balance between form and function create timeless, relaxed living spaces, made intimate by their capture of natural light and scale. She invites a sensory experience in her delicate integration of vintage pieces, art, lighting, and textiles.

I love Calla's use of materials , colors and space. She is efficient in her use of your time and keeps an eye on the budget. That said her blending of traditional exteriors with modern functional interiors is amazing.

I have known Calla for now 6 years and have collaborated with her on many projects, her approach in design is clean, innovative and cutting edge in the Interior Design World. She works well with subcontractors as well as clients. She is professional, friendly and thorough. One of the aspects that I love about working with Calla is the way she goes about the methodical approach to designing a home. She could easily take a home that is Victorian and easily transform the home into a more contemporary look. It takes a lot of outside-the-box thinking to be able to do that. I highly recommend her as an Interior Designer.
