Comments (0)I am renovating the kitchen/diner/lounge in my apartment. I chose engineered oak flooring, plus a thick underlay with excellent soundproofing properties. Measuring up today with the kitchen company and the flooring company, there was a hearty debate about whether to 1) lay the flooring first and kitchen cabinetry after, or 2) cabinetry installed first, and the flooring around it. I would very much appreciate any advice on this matter. Thanks in advance....See MoreHalf round hay barn, Quonset type 4-5 brm house
Comments (0)Hi there, We have a rural site in Wellington (NZ) that we are planning to build on. It gets really high winds and so we need a robust house concept. Hubby is keen on a two story half round haybarn or Quonset style house but I can't even imagine the floor plan for this type of design. He wants 4 bedrooms upstairs with the master, (WIW and ensuite), living, main bathroom, kitchen and skullery/utility on the main floor. Aiming for about 10m wide by 12-14m long. Anyone got any experience with this kind of design? Any recommendations? Any insights much appreciated :-)...See MoreWhat type of splash back and colour would best suit?
