Hi fellow Houzzers!

We are in the process of a new house build. My husband has just told me our raked ceiling in our open plan dining/kitchen/outdoor area is going to be lined with wood panelling (think beadboard). This is fine, however im in a bit of a dilemma. Our plan and vision for our home was to create transitional spaces using larger skirtings/architraves, two panel doors, white trims, wooden floors, marble bathrooms. I had planned on using panelled Wisconsin throughout the entrance and other areas. Im now worried with the beadboard style ceiling we are having will create a more beachy/country look and conflict with the more traditional panelling im thinking of having throughout.

My question is should I forget the panelled Wisconsin and use beadboard instead in these areas to tie in with the ceiling which we cant change? If so, in your opinions does beadboard tie in with two panelled doors and will we still be able to create our transitional feeling home? Or am I overthinking it all?

Thanks in advance
