Need help with living room colors please
Comments (5)For the fireplace inserts go ahead and do the green order a second set of panels that you store that are more neutral. In 10 years or five years you may not like the green anymore. It's possible you won't have access to different colored panels at that time. As for the color I like the ideas of going into those silvers it would coordinate very well with your blue couch and it will pull the blues out of the curtain panels. For the wall coloring use the warm golden color in the drape. There is one piece of the flower that has this color and it will balance the weight of a dark couch. If your room is small don't go too dark in this color. You could use it on the main wall and pick two shades lighter on the other three walls....See Moreneed help with my ceiling and furniture
Comments (11)Thank you all so much many of you suggested darkening the ceiling and leaving the beams the way it is to avoid too much work. What color did you guys had in mind?? isn't a lighter color suppose to open the room? Talianko and Hyde Evans and Shauna? ( I preferably will love a rustic lighter wood look, and the beams but does sound like a mission to get it done as sanding varnish on the ceiling might take me forever but if I get brave enough I might do it Sstar. Brio I do so want those curtains gone they are shocking :)you haven't seen the outdated blue couch yet... but I have to decide in the colors of the walls first :) I am inclined to have a rustic look for furniture... more like farm style and I also like wash off colors...my next vibrant color that i want to add is yolk yellow ( don't roll your eyes that will be in a cushions or a vase a picture) I am very impressed with all your answers and thank you all so much for taking the time to help a girl out :)...See MoreWhat colour curtains should we choose?
Comments (12)I'd like to suggest that the most important thing here is more about who is using the room. If It's a child's bedroom use lovely children's curtains - there's so much around and any pattern could pick up the wall and floor colours. If a guest room and not used often I'd suggest a beautiful velvet or good quality Linen and forbid the little ones from going in to that room!!!!!! alternately a blind attached at floor level could be raised or lowered so the view is still there but with privacy from waist height perhaps. Good luck. Bee...See MoreDining room help please ...
Comments (26)Hi Jennifer K, thanks for your comments. The photos you have posted are really lovely but not really suited to our environment and house, which I know is impossible to tell from one photo. We have built a modern farmhouse on 10 acres. That room looks out to beautiful green countryside and the river below. The dining room is a bit of a feature and is completely different to the rest of our relaxed lodgey style house but I don't want it to be too modern, if that makes sense. The photos have given me a few ideas so thank you so much for your help!...See MoreAngela Lawrence
