We may be premature, but the days are getting (slightly) longer which means that summer is (almost) on it's way! It's a great time to spruce up the pool and backyard area, and while we were tending to ours we started to wondering what shades everyone's outdoor entertainment areas?
Gorgeous shade sails El Debel Designs. We've got to admit, we're fans of shade sails ourselves!
Great move with the retractable awnings rosiem45! We have some clients and friends in Queensland - those summer storms can be pretty rough if your structures are too rigid!
Although we have very deep eaves and lovely large decks, we don't actually have proper shade at our new house so that we can enjoy the outdoor living. Trying to resolve this. Thinking about a big shade sail further away from house where we have a big table and chairs, and perhaps decorative metal panels attached to either the roof or wall cladding on the west deck. The sun is harshest during afternoons to sunset and so far we cannot use this deck for '5 o'clock somewhere' drinks.
Really need to have protection from the rain. But also love the open roof pergola look especially during the cooler months and to let the light in. These open motorised open roof systems provide the best of both worlds.
