The brief from our client was to create a home to suit a growing family of 5 but retain and enhance its original features, along having lots of natural light and maximising space effectively.
We started with this neglected 1930s Bungalow, which was moved to a spot of land in Cambridge and given a new lease of life.
Before:
After:
In this millennial makeover we added a garage, office, contemporary kitchen with scullery and three extra bedrooms.
Before: Living area 1
After: Living Area 1
Before: Living/Kitchen
After: Living/Kitchen
After: Living/Kitchen
We also added on a beautiful deck to encourage indoor - outdoor flow and to best capture the breathtaking views of the vast countryside the property is surrounded with.
Great respect was shown to as many of the existing materials and finishes as could be kept and sublime taste was shown joining new works to the existing to give a seamless junction.
The final result was beyond our clients beliefs, a truly unique traditional home with eclectic flair.
