Look at this before & after of a dining/living room in NZ

For this before and after, these clients were interested in creating an open, light and airy space that catered to family living. They wanted to add quirky statements within some of the elements, but at the same time maintain the integrity and character of the home. They also wanted to blend modern and traditional finishes. To do this, we layered with different textures, patterns and colours to create an eclectic feeling throughout the space.

After

We used Resene White Pointer for the walls to create a subtle background. This allowed us to bring in pops of yellow on the sofa’s, side chair and in the rug in the living area, which created more interest and luxe appeal. The lounge rug design has a slight art deco feel to it and pulled together the yellows, whites and charcoals throughout the area. The character of the home was maintained by adding in a pressed metal feature above the fireplace, which was then carried into the kitchen and used as the kitchen splashback.
