Hey guys - im wanting to renovate my small bathroom, its around 56 sqft, replacement of standard shower over bath, single vanity and toilet, tile floor and tiled wall just within shower/bath alcove. No changes to plumbing location. Have a quote for $9500 just for labour and rough materials (I have purchased all fixtures, finishings etc for a total of 3k), is that labour quote reasonable? Nothing is tricky, ie; standard stacked tile pattern etc. Im in Oakland, CA, so I imagine that effects the price. Any advice would be massivly appreciated! Thanks!

We have a 900x900 shower and it's plenty big enough. Neither of your proposed layouts looks that great, to be perfectly honest, sorry! In the first layout, you could improve it quite a lot by swapping the toilet and vanity (centre the toilet under the window on the bottom right of the picture if possible), and having the shower door on the other wall (beside the door). Then, you could have a towel rail on the wall beside the door (i.e. behind the door when it's open), which would be accessible from the shower but hidden when the door was open. An 800x1200 shower might be a good size for your space. You'd have to choose a toilet that doesn't protrude too far, plus a narrow vanity. With that layout, you could have a long but narrow wall-hung vanity, with a big mirror covering the wall between the windows, which would make the room feel bigger and would give a good amount of storage. Will need to see layout to give opinion. Doesn't look like a free standing tub is a good option for you but if you show us the layout we can give you an accurate advice.

I'm looking for a vinyl flooring, for a bathroom renovation. Something patterned in an encaustic tile style or similar, grey or pale tones. Is there anywhere in NZ - a few found at Flooringxtra, but would like some more options - or suggestions. I would also consider a white with black design. The shower floor will be either in white - or possibly pale grey tile.
