I have a cabinet already should fit there, so did think about that already...maybe I am just having a hard time picturing it. We are designing a 'contemporary' house, so I would say it is fairly modern with touches of older/more vintage pieces. I will take a picture of my cabinet tonight to see what you guys think. But I guess most photos/when I think of buffet cabinet I picture more traditional pieces. If anyone has a more modern take would be great!

Because it's a slider that opens on the left, you should have window treatments that pull open to the right. If you choose curtains that aren't thick or bulky and position the rod so when they're fully opened, they stop just inside of edge of the trim, that should give you a couple inches of space between the trim and the drawers. Hi flair lighting. The back door over by the laundry is the one that would be used by us day to day. as the cars will be parked around the back of the house (maybe under a carport later on) away from our view. When guests arrive they will come in through the front door, which we are having some design issues with. We like it so when you open the front door people can't see straight into your living area. you never know who's gonna knock on your door! i really hear you about the fact that it leads to the bedrooms, but really unsure how to remedy this.also the laundry is by the back door so when you do the washing you can easily nip out the back door to the washing line which is out the back also away from view. our coats and shoes can be stored in the laundry also. was thinking lisa, that maybe a bench seat against the wall as you walk in the front door with a couple of coat hooks for guests? Lol we dont really get guests. In our current home i can count on one hand the amount of times the front door gets used. we just access through our internal garage.... any thoughts.

Our clients were a young couple with a growing family, who wanted to modernise their home and incorporate the kitchen with the outside entertaining area, to create more of an indoor-outdoor flow. They had their own builder and contractors who removed the wall but hired All About Kitchens to work with them to design the kitchen of their dreams. Before: We created a sleek handless kitchen, with push to open bottom drawers, an integrated dishwasher, black stainless steel sinks and gooseneck taps, and negative detail 20mm Caesar Stone benchtop. They had visited our showroom in Petone, where they were inspired by a similar display but with integrated lighting. After: They liked the idea of breaking up the kitchen colour by adding the woodgrain look and have incorporated pull-out fittings in the corner for ease of access, oil pull near the stove, and built-in bin units. Their preference was drawers over cupboards, and to fully utilise the drawer height we used internal drawers for cutlery and utensils. After: They required a large walk-in pantry with a sliding door that would also house the microwave. These clients have been great to work with and have been very patient with some of the supply delays due to Covid. They are so happy with the final result and it's such a timeless design that they can enjoy it for a lifetime. Check out the entire projecthere!
