Our clients came to us wanting to renovate their tired bungalow to modernise the space without losing the original Art Deco features of the home such as the lead light windows & art deco pendant lights.

We wanted to accentuate the high batten and board ceilings along with the Matai floor boards. We also replaced some of the 1960s additions such as the fireplace and blue bathroom with more classic feel.

It was crucial to maximise the limited storage space in the galley kitchen, which was achieved by blocking off a door to the back hallway, so that floor- ceiling cupboards to be installed.

The final space boasts nothing but a warm and inviting space for the family to come home to and entertain with family and friends.
