Comments (11)Hi flair lighting. The back door over by the laundry is the one that would be used by us day to day. as the cars will be parked around the back of the house (maybe under a carport later on) away from our view. When guests arrive they will come in through the front door, which we are having some design issues with. We like it so when you open the front door people can't see straight into your living area. you never know who's gonna knock on your door! i really hear you about the fact that it leads to the bedrooms, but really unsure how to remedy this.also the laundry is by the back door so when you do the washing you can easily nip out the back door to the washing line which is out the back also away from view. our coats and shoes can be stored in the laundry also. was thinking lisa, that maybe a bench seat against the wall as you walk in the front door with a couple of coat hooks for guests? Lol we dont really get guests. In our current home i can count on one hand the amount of times the front door gets used. we just access through our internal garage.... any thoughts....See MoreDo you need tips for staging your home?
Comments (6)I read an interesting comment somewhere, where a lady invited a group of her friends over to lovingly point out all the problems they saw (through fresh eyes) with her home on preparation for sale. She said she was surprised at marks and damage that she had lived with for so long she no longer noticed them. We "owner built" a home previously, and when we came to sell 7 years later, we painted the garage and did those jobs that we had put off, and it became sad to finally see her at her best, at the end, when we could have been living in a completely finished home all that time. I read about a lady who decluttered her home, had it professionally cleaned (build clean, or bond clean) and had a professional styler do her home and she realised just how nice it could be and decided not to sell. :) ta...See Morelighting for the open plan kitchen and lounge plus bathrooms

Comments (0)Hello! I want to buy a navy velvet sofa for my lounge, but confused on how to decorate around it. The space is open plan, will it be over doing if I get (navy) velvet dining chairs and bar stools for kitchen? I want to include pink or yellow with gray and white as part of the theme along with some metallic - like gold/copper/rose gold. Also kitchen will be white with granite benchtop and mirror glass splashback. Where can I try to bring some colour here, maybe the pendant light? Any suggestions please ?...See Moreswich5
