As part of the town planning requirement, the council require a 'Porous' concrete driveway. I was wondering given this is not a normal concrete, how common it is to have 'Porous' Exposed aggregate concrete driveway? instead of just a normal exposed aggregate driveway?

Any idea in relation to the cost increased with 'Porous' comparing to the normal 'Exposed Aggregate' Concrete?

You are right it is not a normal driveway. There are some options with concrete pavers that have porosity in the spaces between the pavers. I would confirm with council if this is what they mean. It is remarkably common for councils to make permit conditions that don't relate to reality, buildability and current building technologies and practices.

    Best of luck,
