"2-pack doors are usually for high-end kitchens and may not be suitable for a family kitchen. Gloss doors need frequent cleaning and scratches show in the doors. If properly cared for, gloss 2-pack doors make a stunning looking kitchen and because the gloss reflects light, make any kitchen look larger.

Vinyl doors can look similar to 2-pack doors, but if they get scratched, cannot be repaired. If exposed to heat, the door will also be damaged. If they are well looked after, they can last for a long time, though."

This was from an information site, so hope it assists.

Hi Helen, most of our customers they choose polyurethen, which we also named lacquered/lacquer finished.

If you do not care about the pattern, then go with polyurethen, you know, it is a kind of solid finished(no wood grain look.), so, for hihg gloss white /matt finish white cabinets, polyurethen is a very good choice; if the cabinets doors need to look like a wood, may be vacuum form vinyl is a good choice.

In the end, I belive polyurthen can las longer.

    Good luck...
