I think the first layout is fine. You might want to consider moving the door for the storage room of the master bedroom so that it opens into the hall. That way the kids can use it for overflow storage. Also, that hallway is big enough that I think it could hold a large armour, providing more closet space. (There's no need to sleep in the same room as your clothes, so long as they're not too far off.) Also, don't forget that while the drawing shows kids in double beds, this need not be the case, so there will be more room for furniture (dressers or whatever) in their rooms. Finally, that step to bedroom 4 will not be odd at all. I've seen it in other homes. It looks clumsy in the drawing but it isn't. What you'll see when you come up the stairs is a bedroom door on a slight diagonal. It's only an odd jagged step if you walk like a robot, in straight lines along the wall, which is what your eye is doing on the drawing but you won't do in real life.

I understand your need to bathe your little people but I would not change a thing in this bathroom. What I would do is find a bathing station that could be placed in the shower temporarily until your little folks are no longer little, By the way, bath tubs regardless of the lovely ads that show sumptuous bathing areas as components of enormous and well appointed master bedrooms, are passe. A great idea 150 years ago and for the most part the only reasonable and effective solution. Today, bathing in most homes happens very infrequently and adding a tub to your space would be the tail wagging the dog. Keep the nice space you have created and add a temporary bathing solution. Great home. I have an outdoor shower was I live adjacent to the beach but only ever use it to wash our feet. It is hard to keep the metals used maintained. I like the idea of being under the stars but in reality i think i would rather have a different vibe than an indoor bath. A spa or jacuzzi adjacent to a pool is potentially more social. Overall a nice extra but certainly not instead of an indoor bathroom especially in the winter time.

The freestanding bath fillers are vulnerable to being knocked. When you think about the physics of it, it is asking a lot of a small fixture to resist that amount of leverage. Talk to your architect. They should be able to come up with a support that fits with your design and is a bit more robust than the long and thin proprietary bath fillers. Also how far is your bath from the wall? If it is closer than 300mm I would still be waterproofing the wall, and with young children around I would waterproof it even if further away.
