Hello and thanks for your inquiry. The best thing to do to preserve heat is to utilize an automatic cover. This will allow you to keep the pool heated without losing heat to evaporation. A properly sized heater will do the trick In conjunction with the cover. Geothermal heating in addition to gas will help cut the costs of heat, although the upfront cost is significant. Thank you! But our pool is not a regular rectangular shape pool, it has a crazy design shape with fire bowls and water fountains which I love but no automatic cover for me, they don’t make them in my shape. But thought I’d reach out and ask just in case there was something new out there, lean something new every day !
