hamptons facade - window colour surfmist or pearl white gloss?

Hi All,

We are building a brick rendered house with a Hamptons facade. Our garage door will be Colorbond Surfmist, does this mean our wooden front window and trims should also be surfmist or can we do a whiter white (pearl white gloss)? FYI The house render will be Shale Grey, roof will be a dark charcoal.

I was hoping to use a whiter white for the other windows in the house... or do I need to match them all? see draft render below with garage and windows in surfmist.

Probably not a good idea to mix your whites as one always ends up looking dirty by comparison, especially if adjacent. Surfmist is a great colour for walls and large areas, but it isn't really a white when you compare it with a pure white as it has grey/blue undertones. I would suggest that you change you garage door to a mid-grey, possibly similar to shale grey, so it recedes and is less of a feature, and use your whiter-white for all of your trim and windows.

    Best of luck,
