Hi, a sofa with a chaise would look great,you could add a large mirror to bounce the light around,a large artwork would look fabulous,add a shelf to stack some framed pictures, add a lighter coloured rug and even an ottoman as a coffee table would look very stylish.

Thanks a lot Julie for your suggestion. I am planning to discard this black sofa since ts too old and from my old place. I like the light color sofa as on the images you shared. I need a clarification from you on the following points:

• The sofa should face the window?? Any suggestion how to place the sofa to make more light?
• Planning to have 3 seaters and 2 occasion chars with prints. Will that work?
• I like the mirror idea. Which wall should be suitable for the mirror?

Shelves can go above sofa, or you can do a display of artworks which looks fabulous or even a gorgeous buffet on your large wall with a great piece of art or a large mirror that will still reflect the light into the room.
