It will be a very tight fit, but if you purchase a prefabricated - very small shower - it might work. The shower would have to be 36" wide with a corner entry, but I don't know how much room you have next to the toilet......? It's tight. so I am not sure about the width of the shower. You will have to measure the space. The stacking washer and dryer would be freestanding next to the shower at 24" wide. I agree that it would be better to have a tight bathroom and have more room in the kitchen.

I understand your need to bathe your little people but I would not change a thing in this bathroom. What I would do is find a bathing station that could be placed in the shower temporarily until your little folks are no longer little, By the way, bath tubs regardless of the lovely ads that show sumptuous bathing areas as components of enormous and well appointed master bedrooms, are passe. A great idea 150 years ago and for the most part the only reasonable and effective solution. Today, bathing in most homes happens very infrequently and adding a tub to your space would be the tail wagging the dog. Keep the nice space you have created and add a temporary bathing solution. This project required a small renovation, where my clients wanted to create something simple and light, without costing a fortune. In the guest bathroom we were able to leave the plumbing as is and worked on replacing the WC, Shower and Vanity. In the laundry the area in the room behind the counter, storage area was pushed back allowing for a larger space within the narrow room. A new door was put in and a new window. Before: After: This extension of space allowed for the guest bathroom to be extended out as well to allow for a larger vanity and all round larger and more accommodating space. The counter top in the laundry is bamboo, the simple black tiles above and perhaps later down the clients will put up cupboards and shelving as suggested. Before: After: The light grey ceramic tiles on the floor replaced the dark ones that made the space feel small and cramped. The white on the walls and new lighting give a totally different feel to the room and makes it a far more welcoming space to work in. Check entire project here!

Please need some help and advice on trying to combine a European laundry and bathroom into a 2.1m by 2.3m space. The proposed design has the appliances stacked with a small laundry sink, all housed in a cupboard opening onto the hallway. We would greatly appreciate any help on the design to improve the space and whether this would even work in such a tight space?
