Hi have an question how much room should you leave around a free standing bath? the inside measurement between the two walls is 1810, should I have a 1500 or a 1600 bath?
a 1500 free standing bath only leave 150mm on either end so barely enough space to stretch an arm to the floor and not enough space to reach around the back of the bath to clean or rescue lost soap etc..whereas 1800 is enough to fit a generous built in bath with a sit down ledge all around
We would recommend a back to wall freestanding bath in this situation. The space is too cramped if you install an 1800mm bathtub and doesn't leave any room for unpredictable complications (eg. tile errors). A 1700 bath is a generous enough size for the space and will simplify cleaning as it's quite enclose and your soap can sit comfortably on the edge. You can find our range here.
