How do you choose a rug under a dining room table?

A dining room rug should ideally have 24" or more of extra space, surrounding the table. The guests should be able to pull out the chairs easily without tripping over the rug.

Choose flat weave or low pile rugs because spills are inevitable from the dining table. Maintenance and cleaning become simple with flat carpets.

You can also choose carpet tiles as they can be set up according to the shape and size you need. Rugs come in many colors, patterns, and textures.

Feel the texture if you are purchasing a natural fiber rug because natural fiber rugs are hard and rough as compared to cotton.

Match the shape of the rug with that of the room.

Match the rug shape to the room shape and the table shape.
