Vintage hall table to bathroom vanity unit
Comments (5)Yay finally finished and installed... Love the look. Had a modern pedestal basin before bathroom Reno. We have old 1903 cottage and like transitional look. After looking Around we found this old hall table second hand and lots of work waterproofing and coating and finishing and now we are able to use it. I love it!...See MoreBeautiful Home Transformation
Comments (0)The first time I met the White house, I was impressed with her grandeur and character having retained all her original features, but , she was tired and dark and in need of a little prescriptive care from the House Doctor - especially if her owners wanted to sell her for top $. She had strong bones and high ceilings and direct access to her own beach, all features that are highly desirable in the property market. With great clients to work with the White house was an easy fix and a simple rejig or the floor plan, a new kitchen, bathroom and a repaint was all the magic she needed to fix her real estate aches and pains. The results were so successful she attracted the attention of Your Home & Garden and stylist Natalie Hoelen. From the soft mint green feature tiles that the drive the ‘serene, sanctuary’ to the extra thick Caesarstone vanity top that adds a sense of abundance and quality, our design captures the coastal theme of the house. Stepping into the room feels relaxing and restful. The subdued tones of the feature tiles paired with the soft grey floor tiles overall create a sense of calm. No colour or material is overbearing, offering a special corner of the house to unwind in. Before: After: The bathroom now flows better for the user when moving through the space. With the vanity and feature tiles being the first point of view when entering the room, other more rudimentary elements such as the toilet become a secondary aspect. The shower is no longer a box configuration, and now a walk-in set up with feels more open and connected with the rest of the room. The main fixtures are more tightly integrated in the space, due to the ledge running behind the vanity and toilet and through the shower....See MoreKat
