Outdoor built-in kitchen advice

Hi there Houzz community,

Need some advice on a proposed built in outdoor kitchen. Having just finished our new house we want to complement the house with a built in kitchen rather than just a BBQ. Therefore we have come up with the proposed outdoor kitchen plan (indicative drawing) but This is my first outdoor kitchen and need some advice. The whole outdoor space will be under a vergola roofing system limiting element exposure (BA plans attached).

The outdoor kitchen will be likely approx. 6m long, include a sink, tap, double fridge, sealed concrete counter top, hooded 5-6 burner BBQ, bench seat down the end and made out of reclaimed Canberra red bricks (to fit the look and feel of our house).

My specific questions that I’m seeking advice on are:

  • any specific advice on bricked BBQ, concerns, things to consider or avoid etc?
  • are there any concerns with oil residue on the bricked splash back even though the BBQ will have a hood?
  • thoughts on a concrete top, anything to consider / avoid?
  • best / recommended outdoor fridges that can withstand Canberra summers (max 40 degrees) / winters (min -8)?
  • generally anything else that might come to mind.
