Industrial Kitchen Renovation in the heart of Richmond, Melbourne
There is a lot of history behind this Richmond Apartment Kitchen Renovation. This Warehouse apartment was originally the Bosisto Eucalyptus distillery. As we all know Eucalyptus oil has been a part of Australia's generations and the industrial design of this building is as bold today as it ever was.
As seen below the old kitchen was cold with stainless steel benchtops and cabinetry. It was also closed off from adjoining spaces.
Zesta Kitchens worked with this lovely couple to identify the brief. It was clear updating the kitchen to an open space to seamlessly connect it to the living and entertaining spaces was paramount. A lighter kitchen but maintaining the industrial style as well as an entertaining zone was required.
Removing the servery wall was the first step to create the open plan and the addition of the island bench created the perfect entertaining space.
The Zesta Kitchens Design incorporated Qualia Black and White cabinetry. The industrial vibe was achieved through the colour scheme, existing brick, steel and copper elements of the building.
The benchtop material using Caesarstone Raw Concrete and the subway tiles were chosen to marry the old with the new.
The clients now enjoy cooking and entertaining in their new kitchen. The island bench with the open bookshelf at the end is a real focal piece. The new kitchen has created better flow and function with additional storage.
Industrial yet modern and open has created the perfect renovation to meet the client’s needs.
