We are looking to give our old pool a much needed facelift. New paving around pool landscaping fencing etc. the current paving is not very level so not sure if stone pavers would work or would just end up cracking. Any ideas?
It is always best to have the paving near a pool level for safety reasons. So if you are thinking of repaving the area, I would recommend correcting the levels.
Stone paving would work, but of course paving is only as good as the ground preparation underneath it and it is always best to have concrete slabs under paving. There are other factors to consider with stone paving ie. salt/chlorinated pools can have an effect on natural stone so sealing can be crucial. Slip rating. Brightness of certain paving outdoors. Darkness/Heat retention of natural stone.
Also, it appears that you have the ability to use a drop face coping around that pool which will have a huge impact on appearance and modernise it.
