Rear lane parking

We live in a Victorian terrace with rear lane parking. I'd like to install a triangular shade sail to keep the car cool and give us the option of moving the car to the street to create an entertainment space or play area for the kids. It's a small rear courtyard so space a light are crucial!

We are looking at shade sails over a more permanent structure because we don't want to seek DA approval, and I still want sunlight.

My question is, would shade sails ruin the Victorian vibes of the place? would it look oddly out of place? would I be ruining the value for any future property sale?

Thought appreciated!

even a Victorian style carport or alfresco roof could look out of place so a triangular shade sail will look like what it is with the advantage being that it can offer shade but could be easily removed but i'm wondering if a rectangular marquee or a retractable awning might offer better light control

I would love a retractable awning but it would require a DA I think?

Ask your local council that as it would depend on local controls
