What’s the best colour to paint a small 2 bedroom1960/70s rental unit?

Small two-bedroom apartment which is a bit gloomy but overlooks trees. Darkish vermiculite ceilings and poor lighting. Tiny kitchen, white tiles on bathroom walls with small white, yellow and dappled beige/white floor tiles. New carpet to be installed. No skirting boards. Any suggestions for colour and finish of paint?

Suggest Dulux: Matt, snowy mountains. Paint same colour throughout. White ceilings and doors and architraves.

It is impossible to say without seeing the unit and understanding the natural light and the other colours. I would check out this link from Dulux, then run down to Bunnings to get some samples.

Dulux Vivid White always works well on 1960's trims and doors, but it would be too clinical for walls.

    Best of luck,
