What to do with our very wide hallway

Hi guys!
We started our renovation a few months ago and have opened our hallway right up. It's 1.8m wide but originally, it had the opening made much less. My concern now is that it looks too wide and that as you are walking down the hallway, you'll see everything in the open plan area such as TV on the wall and dining room. I wish it was 30cm smaller.
I think it might look weird if we make the opening to the main area smaller than the hallway (especially that we will have carpet in the second living room and floorboards up the hall, they won't match up).
Does anyone think this is an issue or is it good to have it nice and big and open? We are probably going to put a timber screen up that will run with the hallway to close off the second long room.
Also, I think it's best that we close off the second living room but I'm not sure what type of door. Ive seen a house do a nice frosted glass sliding door but couldn't find many good examples on here.
Any advice or reassurance would be great.
