kitchen sink and splash back
Hello experts,
I am renovating the kitchen in my new home and I’m not sure which size I should have the drainer on my sink? I’ve got a 3meters Caesar stone bench top 600mm deep. On the left side I’ve got 800mm cabinet and on the right side I’ve got 1500mm beck top left but right under where the drainer should be is my D/W.
Should put it on the left side and a small space on the left side and have more bench space on the right side or the drainer on the right side and have good space on both sides?
Also not sure if I need to have a sink with tap hole or if I’ll have space at the back for a sink.
Also my kitchen is white, floors dark brown hybrid floorboards and a grey Caesar stone bench top. The window is a dark green steel frame. Not sure what color to use on the splash back. And if I use glass or tiles?
Any help I’d appreciate.

Really like the contrast grout idea to add a bit of texture and pattern. Comments (18)Hello Marcelle, I am an interior designer . I can tell you a simple inexpensive way to change the look of your kitchen. Looking at the photo you sent the different cabinet heights , and all the objects on the stove wall are very busy . Your modern house is wanting a cleaner , simple look. I would lower the small cabinets so that the top is at the same height as the others in the room. And put doors on , that will hide the clutter. Next I would do a tile backsplash above the stove , up to the same height. The whole kitchen will be pulled together by the continuous top line. There is a small light wood cabinet with baskets in the foreground . I would paint it white , or the same dark accent color of the cabinets you have. Comments (46)The blue is awesome (grey is too trendy)! The reason it stands out to you is perhaps because it's the only real colour there. Bring in the blue in a window treatment, a small appliance that sits on the counter, a pretty tray or area rug. Also, it is more appealing often if there are more than 2 colours - so right now you have a white and blue colour scheme - bring in red or orange or fushia - something from the other side of the spectrum (like you did with the yellow flowers but in a more permanent way)!...See More

4 years agoHi Merie, maybe a tile similar to this. The colours could incorporate the grey of your counter top, and a darker colour to incorporate your wonderful garden window.
