Comments (3)If you are just doing one space, they make electric in-floor heating cable or mat systems that can be placed under tile, wood, concrete, laminate, etc. depending on installation, they run around $8-$15 per s.f. but are very nice to have especially in bathrooms to step out of shower or bath on. Comments (2)Tile is still the best thing for a walk-in shower to be waterproof. Neither the cork or hardwood will be. Think about installing a radiant floor under the tile like Sharon recommended.
