You could probably put the laundry in a cupboard rather than a room, accessible from the small hallway and extend the kitchen into half the existing laundry space. Hard to say what space you would gain without all the measurements but more space for the kitchen is better than space in a laundry room.... how are you planning the living room? Where are you putting the tv and planning the furniture layout? How many people are going to live in this villa? What are their ages, etc This all impact how to design the space to suit the occupiers...

How big is that garage? maybe can put Laundry there

Currently, the narrowest part of the family/living is 3.8 meters, plus 1.9 meters of laundry room. I'm planning to have the TV on the other side of the robe of bedroom 2, sofa in the middle and dining table near the sliding door. It's for a young family with 1-2 kids.

Even with small changes everything needs to be redone including kitchen cabinets, plumbing, tiles etc. Is there a way to add an island ? Or incorporate the laundry with the kitchen, eg two sinks in the kitchen (one for kitchen and one for laundry) and hide the washing machine in the cabinets below the benches?

I'd like to feel more open visually, however, cabinets space is precious too.

Garage is 3.2 meters wide. The permeable paving area outside the garage is to park another car. Could the laundry be on the way?

Without any pictures of how you're setout internally, it's hard to say, but before you go moving walls and plumbing etc, which is very expensive, have a look at getting custom furniture, with inbuilt bench seats and storage. It can be much less expensive and can be really beautiful. Have a look at the work by Owen Architecture, Donovan Hill D House or Vokes and Peters Architects where they do this very well. You have enough 'space' as per square metres however I really think this a lack of wall space making it a tricky area to layout furniture.

Laundry into cupboard is where I'd be starting from, rework kitchen layout then have a play about with new walls and furniture.

A 'privacy screen/divider' near front door may help with new layout too. Think 40 x 40 timber vertical battens at say 40 mm apart, 850 mm wide. This would give you a defined entry foyer, living space, etc.. or at least it will get the creative mind going.

Crude sketch, but something like this, remove the store and recess the master bedroom door. Put laundry in cupboard opp bathroom, including lost store. Fridge on wall in line with stove. Add island.

Is the bath used? Could the laundry appliances be placed there instead? Allows the laundry as it stands to be removed in total and kitchen enlarged.
