Need help with choice of floor colour please.

Have a sunroom that we are about to cover the floor. It runs between the living room and an outdoor covered deck. Will be using hybrid planks and the house is (loosely)
classic Hamptons design. Current choices are a dark charcoal/grey or a spotted gum colour. The deck outside is merbau.. In the long photo the doors on the right and left are/will be white to delineate the space. The black carpet in the photo is there as the boards will butt up to that in a hallway around the corner that leads to a bedroom/bathroom. Any opinions or advice is really appreciated and welcomed.

Comments (10)Hi, love that you love bold colors and patterns. I think a rug that will help to highlight what you've started in your space without competing with it would be beautiful. Because most of your patterns are medium to large in size, I would probably recommend a rug that has some black in it and even with a pattern but with a different scale pattern (much larger or smaller/more subtle) than what is shown in your pillows, chair and lamp. Here are some examples.... Mostly of rooms with bolder (black and white) patterns and the rugs that were used with them. In pic 3, a rug with a larger scale pattern was used in combination with pillows, drapes with smaller or no pattern (and with black/white contrasts). Your space would be the reverse application I think....like in pic 4. I also love the idea of a bolder, more contrasting in color (like the colors of your pillows, etc.) of a cowhide rug. Comments (0)Hello. We have a little ski chalet which is an A frame, the upstairs floor has had the carpet taken oust due to wear and the jib boards have been Polyrethaned. We want to cover the floor inexpensively (so we can rent it) to reduce noise and cover the small gaps at the edges where the light comes in from below.
