Help with white shelf in office

Hi, you have helped with office last time and purchased a white shelf need advice on Hampton style books and he wants a small yacht shell anything like this thanking you jeannie

You can purchase ornamental yachts, shells, world globe, etc from gift shops.
Online shop,temple and Webster have a range of hamptons style products.
Don't really understand what you mean by "Hampton style books"? Usually you have books because you wanted to read them, not just to style a room.
If you use your existing books, you can wrap them in various coloured wrapping paper. This will make them more uniform to display in your book shelf. Then have them in various ways, standing up, lying down. With your ornaments.
If it is a male office, they might like a different aesthetic, than a females office.

Any room is the best when you add personal items, that actually tell a story, to that room. I think, that is a lot nicer than buying mass produced articles for suddenly having "a style".

try Benjamin Moore Key Ivory West for the walls - it's a soft color and will brighten the space, but will work with other colors. Put a funky rug on the floor. Go to Marshalls or TJ Maxx or IKEA and get a comfy chair with a a small table next to it. If she has any artist friends at school, have her ask them to do an oil or watercolor of something she likes in a large canvas for over the bed (don't frame it). Replace those lights. Or, for over the bed, just print out a bunch of 5x7 photos of friends or whatever (black and white would make a statement) and arrange them in whatever frames you like. Going for neutral or soft colors will enable you to use accessories for color and change the look when it gets old.

I think we are going to use the white subway tile to keep the budget down as I priced new tiles and it would blow out the budget. Really like the contrast grout idea to add a bit of texture and pattern. My partner is a builder and he loves the reclaimed wood shelf idea as we have a lot of spear old wood left over from the renovation. We have made a dinning table and fire place mantel from it already so it would tie in really well.

Cannot see photos very well. Looks like a wood floor, wood table, beige walls, beige drapes,white cabinets, white counter top, black bar stools and black chairs (some fabric and some black wood).. Cannot see chairs well enough to make suggestions. Cannot see blinds nor "slats" well enough to make suggestions. A white ceiling might make it seem higher. Tulip art is colorful and fun, I'd hang it in the entry or living room.

Oh, okay, may need to clarify some more. If you get a new 2 seater in place of the 2 white chairs, fine, but no blue chair at all next to the 'new' 2 seater. Won't be right with a blue chair too. So what ones are you planning to recover?. If getting rid of part of it, not understanding. 2 different styles placed next to each other won't look right. I wouldn't like old blue fabrics next to new fabrics or next to 2 different styles of furniture. New 2 seater and old blue chair next to each other, not good :)
