bathroom layout ideas
Hi everyone!
Hoping to get some feedback on our potential bathroom layout. We have tried it so many ways and this seems to work best.
We really wanted a bigger vanity, a walk-in shower, and a bathtub.
The only concern we have about this layout is the position of the toilet.
Do you think it's strange to put the toilet in the corner?

Comments (7)I agree you probably need to centre the vanity and the cabinet on the wall or they could look a bit odd! You don't say why you don't want a space between the window and the vanity - just my opinion, but I would think 300mm could be quite useful for a bin, a clothes basket or box, or a small stool for putting clothes on? The only alternative to leaving a space, is to fill it with something as the response above suggested. To avoid it interfering with the window, you could make this something lower, so it sits level with the top of the vanity. This could be built in and the wall lining put over it to create a single "shelf" level with the underside of the vanity top, or if you can find some freestanding open shelving of the correct width, which could also be cut to the correct height, you could wedge that between the wall and the vanity side when fitting the vanity. Just bear in mind also, that you'll lose some of your towel hanging space if you put something too high in the space....See MoreBathroom reno advice for very old bathroom

We renovated a bathroom where we were able to have a seperate large shower and keep the bath by incorporating a built in cupboard in a bedroom room adjacent to the bathroom. 3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoYour bathroom floorplan looks lovely but could be just a tad short for the shower and toilet so I suggest possibly looking to change the bath with the toilet, you can sit on the edge of the bath to dry your feet.
If this is a new build you could have a wide high window or just the smaller as you have shown.
Towel rails beside vanity and running along shower and bath wall, I can't show this correctly as I don't have a towel rail and have used walls that work oK visually in 2d but very strange in 3d

3 years agoWhat about a round bath? We just put one in and I love it. It might work better in the square space and would allow for a longer vanity to the top right corner and toilet in the bottom right. I totally agree a sliding door is worth putting.
