Looking a great start. I think you need to put furniture in the living, lounge and dining and any tv etc to see how those spaces will work

Upstairs...window end of the hall looking west, will that have a blind continuously down to stop the heat ?
If so maybe delete window and make a storage cupboard for Christmas/ suitcases ?
Seems to be wasted space, unless there is a desk or something there...?

with only standing space on the upstairs balcony i suggest that the space is included in the bedroom so you can open the doors and sit inside and save the cost of the external structure, you need to place furniture to understand the spaces better eg in the living area with the central fireplace, bay window and wall of glass doors how would you arrange seating? unless the block has angled boundaries there seems to be a lot of space at the sides created by the walls projecting in and out and suggest that maybe the garage on the boundary may not be essential ..what is the width and length of the block and can you post a site plan showing distance from the boundaries??

the window in the hall was because we thought it might be a bit dark and pokey without, its also a casement window which will open more than the other awnings and therefore double as a fire escape onto patio roof below (does that make me sound crazy!?) but now that i look at it that could also be some great storage... (we will have a bit of storage in our attic)

here is some furniture on a plan pre balcony showing the side boundaries.

we are planning to make it about 1m longer adding 50cm to the two living rooms and garage shelving and more space in the pantry...

we are still a bit worried about the dining area feeling like its in a dead zone/hallway.

the open plan living is maybe a bit small... i was going to use more armchairs than couches here... i wonder if the extra 50cm will make enough difference...

I’d add the full 1m to the rear living space. In fact you could take .5 from the other space.
A couple of door issues downstairs
Move the powder room for forward to allow it to open into the room not the hall. The garage door should also open the other way.
The storage under the stair should be accessed from the laundry
Move the bedroom door that’s adjacent to bath opp the other bedroom door. This will allow you the flexibility in future if you want to add storage into the end of the hall.
Specify some soundproofing insulation in the walls either side of the retreat to muffle the tv a little. If you can, swap the robe to that side. In fact I would delete the linen in the hall between the two bedroom doors and just extend the two robes. You have another linen outside the toilet and they can have their own linen or whatever in their own robes. It will be cheaper and make the 3 rooms the same.
Consider moving the toilet in the en-suite in a little into the room so you can add a laundry chute in the hall.
Change the door to the wir to a swing door as they are a little quieter and better sound insulation than sliding. And cheaper.

my suggestions include reducing the "ins and outs" to make construction simpler and adds a little extra space including a porch off the laundry, the downstairs living area and dining room size feels comfortable with your scale sized furniture and the small lounge is a good size for watching TV, the door from the garage has been rearranged to separate the entry hall from a narrower central hallway, reduced the length and widened the pantry to make a separate storage room (or this area could be used for a childrens' computer nook)..the short door under the stairs from the lounge will be impossible to use without moving furniture..upstairs has all minor bedrooms a similar size without any western windows as every window should include emergency exits and extra brightness can be added with solar skylights that don't overheat, the new bathroom is more spacious and has more storage in the generous vanities as well as tall storage in the bathroom and hallway, the retreat is bigger and ens and wiw more spacious but all the windows need rethinking as upstairs east and south facing windows can also overheat and why have a sliding door off the guest room at the front of the house and the shallow balcony could be substituted with French balconies off the master bedroom and retreat.. and the X shown in the master ens and laundry is the only suitable location for a laundry shute

my rough plans add up to a total floor area of 372sqm without any allowance made for the extra thickness of external walls
