Home Renovations - Cutting slab for ensuite.

I'm looking for some advice in regards to our current renovations.

We recently picked up a new place and are in the middle of renovating the place before moving in.
We have planned to remove the wall between the ensuite and WIR in order to make the ensuite larger.

Obviously the existing slab in the ensuite is 50mm lower to allow for the fall. my question is, when we remove the wall between the two rooms, the WIR slab will be 50mm higher than the ensuite.

What would be the best approach, as ill obviously need to lower it to allow for the fall?

Do I cut into the slab and remove half the slab, leaving 50mm left? this would have to be done with a series of cuts with a concrete saw then jackhammered out.

Or would it be better to cut out the entire slab and have a 100mm slab poured back in, at 50mm lower than the surrounding?

What was once the WIR will be the new shower.

Thanks in advance!
