You need to cluster the small frames. Look at your view points and put them there. Best at the landing

I typed in staircase picture styling for some ideas. But remember it is your view lines that are important. A lot of the photos have views from the side. If you have an enclosed staircase you bpneed to see them where you can stand back a little.

Hang your wall hanging, and leave the corner bare. The stairs do not look very wide, and I feel anything in the corner will just get in the way.

Wall mounted art is the only styling possible in that small space. So a portrait shaped piece nice and colourful to lift attention from drab carpet as you go up the stairs would be my preference
I’m assuming you can’t add light pendant. But maybe you can

Funnily enough I was talking with a neighbour and he has offered to help - I DO have a pendant light and a huge wall hanging - I’ll see if I have photos - gonna try and put them up in the least offensive way holes wise!! But really it was just that corner I wanted to style - maybe a pot plant? Sorry not the Xmas tree the wall hanging behind it!!! Haha

Place your large wall hanging on the large wall with the landing (wall you face going up or down the stairs). As it is a statement piece you don't need any smaller frames near it. It's the show piece in the space and the blank walls beside it let it "breathe".

Yes definitely on the wall up as it’s the 10ft one we are going to see if we can also hang the chandelier as well - it’s just so hard in a rental to make an impact, without holes in walls etc

Looks like there was a round pot in the corner. Would need a thin plant.

What is the width of the wall, what is the width of the dark wall hanging? I'm concerned that the staircase may be dark if you put that wall hanging up. The light bounces off the walls at the moment, but the dark fabric will suck the light in.

I think there wall is 10 feet and the wall hanging is maybe 4m long - it’s actually not as dark as it looks in that pic - it was a nighttime shot!! I think it will look ok once up - it’s really the matter of getting it up there is my concern and damaging the rental walls etc - not that it will but you know what I mean!!
