R u doing this for you or to sell. If it’s to sell talk to an estate agent about what they think the before and after render cost diff would be to see if it is worth it.
Personally I’d like it rendered, but it is more maintenance. And render colours come and go in popularity. Just look at the lemon ones.
A lighter colour on the awning box would be good. Not sure what your alternative is?

The brown on the gutters matches the brown on the window awnings, which matches the brown bricks on the base of the building.
The white/cream windows, match the garage door.
I would be putting a garden bed along the lawn, in the front of the home, with flowering plants. Remove trailer from front of home. Refresh the paint in the same areas that match now. Do not render. If the windows do not need replacing, then just repaint.
It really depends whether you would like to embrace the era of the home and its facade or completely change it. That is personal preference.

I am not a fan of the Brown. What would be a fresh colour to paint the roof, gutters, eves.
We are thinking of installing a white picket fence 1500 mm H and side fence 1500 in Windspray- a light grey.
A colour consultant recommend to render in light grey, shale grey roof, lexicon 1/4 on timber and basalt gutters.
Is it better to keep in original condition or change fasade... what would you do?

please don't render the house unless the bricks are crumbling .. consider the original style of the house and check out mid century modern homes and fences...it looks like the gutters have been altered from the original style so i'd replace the gutters with traditional quad shaped gutters, consider extending the porch across the front of the house and upgrade windows with invisible security screens to double glazed windows for insulation, security and noise control and you may no longer need the old shutters and paint the brown bricks to disguise the colour and invest in new landscaping

would a white picket fence , square cut on top. with feature posts suit? 1500 mm high. all painted in white?

is the fence to define the boundary or block the view? a square cut white picket fence sounds good and i've been searching for something with a horizontal look and also found tehis black fence that could be interesting with black and white for windows and gutters?? but check with council about maximum fence height..

and for landscaping.. think about the front fence without the central gate and path and having the entry combined with a wider driveway (dark aggregate?) that curves towards the house to make a wider entry area.. and you need a more substantial post and letterbox with numbers, shrubs to screen out the neighbours' homes and create a circular front lawn surrounded by wide garden beds with tall shrubs and big strappy plants

Great suggestions, I love cream brick with a black trim, looks very stylish.

I would go a black fence also, adding lush planting, could look gorgeous.

Don't do white picket. It doesn't suit the style of home and is best suited for a cottage garden.
Charcoal is your friend for colour options.

keep original roof and imagine no render but cream brick. use the verandah of A.10 but remove fretting and awning covers.
with the color scheme with red roof, would u do picket fence in white or go with a windspray to match the fence.

The era is not a picket fence but a low brick fence. The grey square profile fence would be better than pickets. I would echo fence in the porch column.

Sorry Julie black windows give me the shudders on old houses. As a kid I found them creepy and still have that feeling. We r all so different in our tastes, which is a good thing for variety.

It’s good that we are all different Kate, it’s good to have different opinions otherwise it would be a pretty same same look, I love cream and black together it gives a lovely stylish look.

I think you could give your house a bit of an edge, why not re think the fence and add a unique look instead of the traditional, dare to be different. .. could look fabulous.

as usual Julie you find the best images for inspiration and Dan asked who likes the grey roof but i wouldn't paint the roof unless the tiles are needing to be repointed and gutters replaced and then grey roof with white fascia and black or white windows, verandah posts and black gutters..just like Julies' suggestion
