Please help us with ideas for our red brick farmhouse near Sydney

Hi everyone,

We are in the process of replacing our asbestos roof with colorbond, and we are using this opportunity to update the windows, gutters, fascias and gables to make everything better work together.

At the moment, the house has manor red fascias, verandah posts and windows on one side of the house. On the other side, there's a mix of rendered plasterboard, bricks and recycled wharf timbers for the outdoor area, as well as Stegbar western red cedar windows.

We are wondering if we should be replacing the Super Six asbestos sheets with a similar deep profile (e.g. Lysaght Custom Orb Accent 35), or going with 'normal' profile colorbond.

We're hoping to get some colour coordination ideas (for the fascias, gutters and roof), and suggestions about either converting all windows to western red cedar or white timber.

We are also wondering if there's anything we can do with the gables, as the gable pictured below is the first thing you see when driving up to the house.

Thanks in advance for your ideas!
