I am in the process of renovating my kitchen As I begin designing my island for the seond time (we finished a major reno only 4 years ago and have shifted) I am again challenged beween aesthetics and function. I know people will want to sit up at the island to have a wine and chat while i'm cooking, but i also love the look of a rectangle box for an island. Dimensions are 2.4m x 1.2m. There is ample clearance and it will run parallel with the kitchen bench.
