Is cork flooring an option?

I have to decide on flooring for a first floor area, which includes a parent bedroom, landing area with window seat, home office and WIR. We have been going between wood or a combination of wood and carpet for the bedroom only. Ideally I would like one floor for the whole area, about 80sqm. There's also a bathroom, which will be tiled. Now I came across the new cork flooring and quite like the idea as it's warm, quiet and sustainable but not sure if it's still in the daggy category as a remnant from the 80s. Has anyone got a recent cork floor? What is the cost? Any opinions much appreciated.
