Yes on the right track. I’d go ironstone on the columns. and garages. Why don’t you try painting the existing garage doors as a test before you replace them so you can check colour. I think a plainer door would be better, also with balustrade I would do a wire rope balustrade with a nice chance top rail. Again in ironstone.

A very simple colouring in in the same colour as your fence. With a white trim. Landscaping would also improve facade. A simple timber vertical slat balustrade.

Or maybe a stained timber balustrade, with timber look garage doors. Paint the upstairs window surrounds in the ironstone colour, to blend in with your roof tiles. Landscaping and a new timber stain letter box.

Your house has a lovely shape and it reminds me of a lot of the houses they renovate on fixer upper. Have you had a look there for some inspiration? They always end up with a classic elegant look.

Taking my inspiration from them I would.... french render the brick, replace the bay window inserts with good quality timber framed windows, replace the balustrade, repaint the trims a classic grey. Add grey painted shutters to the upper windows.

@dreamer yes I was thinking a simple timber balustrade would look better than a more modern one. we are planing on putting a covered deck off the back with a similar balustrade too.

@fianou Luca I love fixed upper. They were the reason we bought this house as I could see the potential. it is much harder than it looks go bring a look all together. I was contemplating painting the brick lighter like a wash but to scared to vomit incase it looks terrible and it is an expensive job to do. I was even thinking of putting shutters on the windows downstairs to give the front some texture

What a gorgeous house, adding a timber balustrade would look fabulous, going with grey trims ( more grey tone) would look lovely, garage doors also, plant up the garden with lush trailing plants over retaining wall,beautiful frangipani at the back, make the back into a wonderful space to relax and enjoy, again great house.

Great area at back, add cover and seating, fab for near pool, Raku is a softer grey, looks great in all lights.

@julie Herbert yes it's a great space just a bit of a concrete wasteland at the moment. we are planing on putting a large deck off the back that will cover in that area so it will be like an extra outdoor area covered next to the pool and the large deck for dining and seating looking over the pool. I like the idea of the trailing plants, something to hide some of the vast brick work.

Sounds wonderful, it’s a really gorgeous house, once you put your personal touch to it, it will look fabulous.

start with the easier stuff first, once you paint the trims and update balustrade and repaint the timber cladding you may find the render look isn't necessary. just go a step at a time. there are also some interesting textured paint product which might be enough to update the look as the brick is in good condition and doesn't need a complete render. I actually like the effect Joanna Gaines calls french wash where the render is sort of smoothed on and rubbed back to expose the middle of the brick. I like it where you can still see the brick.

i'd suggest actually testing an area of brick with some samples of different products. I'd start around the side in a spot you don't actually see so you can see what it looks like before you tackle the front.
