Window and door layout style

Hello all

we are in the process of drawing out plans and just cannot decide on window/door styles for each room of the following plan. walls are 10 foot with 12 tray in living, dining and master.

We want to put panorama style windows, sliding or french door for back yard exit, and double door for entry.

This is for a water front with sunset.

feedback is appreciated.

Sounds like a great site. Hard to advise as not really sure what advice you are seeking or what your style is for the home inside and out,
I prefer sliders over other doors for rear as easier to use and. Don’t impinge space.
Questions on plan.:
What is island bench so far away from rear bench?
What do the dashed lines represent?

Try the TV where the sofa is now and float the sofa perpendicular to the fireplace where you currently have the big chair. Perhaps the big chair can then go where the TV was for a quiet spot for one. Or even better, pull the loveseat off the wall and put the big chair to its left flanking the fireplace.

Third vote for getting a professional involved, but i'll still offer my layman's suggestion given that you're just soliciting general ideas at this point. If it was my space, I'd switch the bathroom and the laundry room around, keeping just one of the walls currently enclosing the toilet. Its hard to estimate precise measurements from the drawing, so it may not be feasible, but here's what i mean

Living/Dining room layout help!

Hi I have recently moved into a new house and am needing some advice on how best to utilise the living/dining room. The room is a bit tricky as there are very few walls with no windows/doors to place the TV on. Currently with the set up the angle between the TV and the sofa is not great. I also feel that with the current layout there is a lot of wasted space in the middle of the room. The photos are from the house listing so that is not my furniture...I currently only have the furniture in the floor plan (minus to 2 arm chairs but I would like to get some arm chairs for a reading corner) Any advice on where to best position the TV living area and the dining are would be great. @kate, I would say the dashed lines are for tray ceilings.
This appears to be a huge American home, with lots of grandeur.

They say 10 foot ceilings with tray ceiling to 12 foot.

In that case, stunning views need simple windows, like that picture. At night I would assume drapes hide the window so focus of detail will be on tray ceiling and furnishings. At day, those things with the view being the star.

I agree , why is the laundry opening from the dining room and not near the bedrooms .
