I posted on here a couple of times debating bathroom renovation options - tiling, colour, layout etc. Now complete, so thought I would share some before and after pics.
Looks great, Maree. Can I ask the dimensions of the bathroom, ours is very similar layout with the bath under the window, same shower position and considering similar, ditch the bath, put the shower there instead and a bigger vainity.
We love baths - but my husband and I are just too tall for it to be long enough / functional. Will obviously limit appeal for those with younger children, but we are loving the clean lines and added feeling of spaciousness. Good luck with your decision-making.
We've got 2.4 x 2 to play with. We put baths in the last two houses we reno'd but we had bigger spaces. We feel now that possibly it's better use of space and functionality for the house to have a bigger shower, bigger vanity and no bath. Our kids are 8 and 12 now. It's funny about the children and bath thing, as we've debated that back and forth for this current reno but at the end of the day we barely used the bath in the other two houses anyway, granted the second one the bath was the last thing added lol so it was really too late but we were in the first house up until when the kids were 7 and 4. We used to bath them in the laundry sink when they were babies! Then they used to just shower with us. :)
Looks good. I do like the square set cornice and your feature tiled wall. However, you have the room, I would of installed a double vanity, with white basins. The basin just brings in another colour, which I don't think was needed. Just my personal opinion. But overall looks good.
