Double check my floor plan!
Comments (6)I understand wanting to keep the views from as many rooms as possible. However, how much time is spent in the bedrooms? And is the view visible the majority of time one spends in the bedroom? Consider that the most restful, secure sleep is obtained when the bed is placed opposite the entry door. That is not possible in any of your current bedroom layouts. Perhaps you should consider single solid glass French doors or windows flanking the beds opposite the doors rather than the large windows you show on the plan. Choice of doors or windows would be based on accessibility to a deck. I assume bedroom 1 and the office/bedroom have built-in bunk beds. I think the deck between the family and bedroom 3 seems inaccessible and a bit of a waste, and I wonder how one gets outside from the kitchen with the trash, etc. Do you have no plans to garage the vehicles?...See MoreHelp with floor ideas please!
Comments (0)Hello. We have a little ski chalet which is an A frame, the upstairs floor has had the carpet taken oust due to wear and the jib boards have been Polyrethaned. We want to cover the floor inexpensively (so we can rent it) to reduce noise and cover the small gaps at the edges where the light comes in from below. There are beams that make carpeting expensive (need to cut around), are there any other options? Rugs don't seem to cut it. Thanks ....See MoreHellllp Please - Landscape Plan
Comments (1)I was thinking a structure around the fireplace so you can still entertain and keep the fire going without worrying about the wind blowing it out. I also think some new grass would be what you need to brighten up the area as it's looking a bit dead (but that could just be due to the cold weather)...See MoreNew open plan kitchen colour help
Comments (1)Teal sounds beautiful for your splashback, I love vibrant and bright colours in the kitchen - you never see them enough! I think your worries are right as well, dark carpet and a dark bench would be too much darkness - a lighter benchtop would work well with the other colours! Marble is a classic for benchtops, but depending on how you did the wood, it wouldn't look fake at all! What did you decide on doing?...See Morefianou luca
