Maybe think about whether you need such a huge television 😉
As your space is compromised for comfortable viewing, from the correct distance in ratio to size of TV.

Can you sketch up a plan with measurements, this will make it easier to give thoughts on the space available.

Here is my floor plan.

Choose what colour is your favourite, then purchase cushions, artwork, etc in different shades of that colour. As DR Retro said, keep it simple.
Add your favourite pieces, and purchase a smaller TV. I like the colour of your TV unit. Stick with those earthy, lighter, tones, not dark.
Maybe throw are light coloured blanket over your lounge.
Can you take down the Venetian blinds, are they needed? Could you replace with a soft sheer curtain?

Hi, yes it is small with a wonderful big window, do you own or rent, I would keep your big TV and mount it on the wall to simplify the floor plan and give a bit more depth between it and the sofa. A new blind that pulls up from the bottom which will block out buildings and give privacy from the street This will add light and expand your room with an exterior view., This could be an inexpensive bamboo blind to work with the following

Your TV cabinet is a bit Japandi (Scandinavian Japanese ) in it's material and shape so I would also keep that along with what appears to be a great neutral sofa. What floor covering do you have, ie timber, carpet ,tiles. Some art to hang on the wall above the sofa. Do can you take a photo back towards the entrance showing your desk. Perhaps you could even add a shoji style folding screen next to the desk to close of the entrance and kitchen when watching a bit of TV.

Would your current floor lamp fit between the TV unit and fridge, it's a bit like a shag on a rock where it is, A funky architectural style desk or wall mounted lamp to use on the desk and when reading on the sofa, along with your current lamp this will introduce ambient light adding character to your space

Looking at your plan , I'd keep the TV , mount it on the wall , BUT probably on the 'other' wall . That means your couch may not fit if it doesn't break into 2 pieces though ( or maybe it would be okay if you used the 'sticky out' bit near the fridge , and sort of made it a low divider , but not really my preference ) .

If the couch can break into 2 , and you have the longer side along the far wall , you may even then use the TV unit ( without the TV ) as a divider , again sticking out near the fridge . You could then put trinkets and nik naks and laptops on it , maybe some themed coloured mats .

The big TV will suit that larger wall , sort of like having a large art piece but interesting haha . On that note , have an art piece on the other wall . As others have said , add a rug , cushions , even a plant in a 'themed coloured' glazed pot . A coffee table may add interest and add to things ( and somewhere to put coffee mugs haha ) , but in this case it could easily backfire and overcrowd things , so initially I'd keep it more open , and sort of make a room within a room at that end of the room .

trouble with moving the lamp between the fridge and tv unit, you will have to walk around it every time you go into the bedroom.

Same issue with moving the sofa, it will be tight, and block the door way.

Actually , one other thought too -- is it worth getting rid of the dining table altogether -- I assume there is only 1 or 2 people , so I assume only a cafe type ( say 1 metre by 1 ) with a couple of chairs -- maybe get a larger coffee table and eat there . or a taller 'bar leaner' against the wall with a couple of matching stools ? Yes , a bit lazy , yes not great for inviting friends for a dinner party haha , but it would give more space so you could maybe have a single chair a bit further from the TV or similar ?

I guess it depends on priorities , but needs must . . . . . .

Another suggestion, is to create a divider with a long Bench or tall storage cabinets, or a combination of both from either Ikea/Fantastic furniture cabinets, Because the bedroom is narrow a QB in the corner with a desk under the window might be good

I think colour is all you really need. A tin of paint is really cheap and not too technical to do. Small spaces take to bold colour beautifully! It seems to stop it looking so cluttered. I have painted a tiny office bold teal on the lower and then its oiled plywood on the upper above the rail. I used a matte paint and I find it creates the illusion of pushing the walls back and makes the corners disappear. In this photo they feature the teal and placing the pot plant at the corner further dissolves the corner.
Using bold colour takes a little guts and knowing what you like, but I find generally blues are not too controversial. Most people like blue. My favourite colour is green, but i'm going for blues with green pops and accents. My general rule is to go full strength on a tight space, half strength on a small space and quarter on a big space. You can use the same colour at various strengths to create depth and variation but tie it all together. I do like the idea of a small house or apartment having the same colours over the whole place. That also helps give the home a sense of spaciousness and cohesion

I'd also put the tv on the opposite wall to minimise glare. your dining table can double as an office space with some planning. Create a storage crate or nook with everything you need on hand but easy to move out of the way.

Oh and while I don't advocate getting rid of anything you already have when its still functional, think instead of what to replace things with when they break or are past it. Your sofa, when you're ready to replace it could be replaced with a 2 seater and maybe an armchair. There are more compact models like the scandinavian style. Having furniture with legs and space under them makes it feel bigger. A 2 seater would be better proportioned to the space, but it depends what your needs are!

Your couch looks extra deep... maybe scale down on depth, smaller tv as that is dominating the room

Put in some artwork, paint the room, this could potentially help divide the areas if you monochrome the lounge and kitchen/meals area. Lose the desk as you have a laptop you can have one of those tables that fit over the lounge.

Try to have furniture that sit on legs, thinish legs so you can see under furniture, it makes it seem like there is more space.
