Ensuite Feature Wall
Hi everyone,
I am designing my new build en-suite at the moment. My room has 3 metre ceilings and is 1500 wide x 3500 long. I really like the 600x300 satin white tiles for the wall and 300x300 grey floor tiles. My vanity is the ADP London wall hung with Carrera top, semi insert basin and all chrome taps throughout. I have the idea of running the floor tile right up the back wall where I have a double shower on either side with two niches on either side as well.
My dilemma is that it might look wrong being such a long narrow room and it might make it look longer and narrower? would it be better to leave all the walls white or maybe the wall where the vanity will be the grey wall to break up all the white of the wall, vanity and window?
I have included some photos of the room, my possible tile choice although that tile is matt, so a little brighter, and the vanity that I will be having.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Comments (3)Reconsider not having a bathtub in your large master bath space, which currently has a good bit of wasted space, for your convenience as well as for future buyers. You also don't appear to have any counterspace or storage by the sinks, the shower is big enough that you don't need a door on it, and a small freestanding soaker tub could fit under the window in the wet area of the space if the door to the bathroom was moved a couple of feet up the wall opposite the sinks. 3 years agoYou have the window in the shower recess, so this will help break up the tile, if that whole wall is tiled, in the darker tile. I think it would look fine. Sorry is the floor tile you have chosen, Matt or gloss? Didn't really get your explanation. A gloss tile, on the shower wall will bounce around the light, the Matt tile up the wall may suck the light away. Definitely have a Matt tile on the floor.

3 years agoYou dont have to go for real marble tile. A porcelain tile is more economical, and robust, and really, can anyone tell the difference?
this would give your bathroom a completely different look. The dark tiles to me a more earthy and organic. The marble look tile is more hamptons and feminine.
