My thoughts, have you considered horizontally? .....and up one wall only.... 600x300. tiler may need to cut for falls.....

never white floor grout

Have you roughly drawn up how many full tiles you’ll have versus how many cut tiles? Don’t spend the money if the majority will be cut down anyway. I’d use 300x300 if it were me.

Firstly I would ask the tiler. You may need 300x300 for drainage. I have 600x600 on my floor. So ask first and lay the biggest tile size they’ll allow. Less grout less cleaning

I was planning on running my tiles vertically up the wall since half of my bathroom has a lower pitch.

Running vertically and on one wall for example, I would have 18 full tiles and 7 cut tiles.

My idea is to have the least amount of grout lines as I can......and oh.....my bathroom is a near square

Just counted how many tiles if I did them horizontal and I would have 21 full tiles with 7 cut.

Thoughts appreciated!

I've just done my 2 bathrooms, 300 x 300 on floors and 300 x 450 vertical on walls , I'm very happy with it, lovely clean lines

What kind of shower are you installing? If the large tiles are into the shower recess, then there will be wasted tiles to get the correct fall of tiles for drainage. Smaller floor tiles in the shower recess are easier to achieve the required drainage fall.

21 full with 7 cut seems reasonable.

Hey Dreamer. My shower is a walk in. I will have 3 full tiles to start the descent and 3 cut tiles towards the back. Total length of shower area (1060x900mm). The grate will be towards the back.

Thanks Siriuskey! Yes - that is what I am hoping for. Plus having a natural looking stone wall and floor will envoke a sense of calmness...like a spa!!! I am also complementing the white limestone with black tapwear......

Andrew, that is good that your shower is the right size for the tiles.

However, that is a small walk in shower. you may get over splash into the bathroom space.

Not sure what happened but it is now showing, why don't you roughly draw out your bathroom showing dimensions, doors windows etc
