Do I do all V-Groove cabinetry ?

Doing a kitchen Reno . Same floor layout but with a cupboard above the fridge . Wall mount oven beside the fridge . Pantry Beside the oven . Induction top slightly to left of existing stove with all drawers on that bank of lower cupboards . Upper cupboards above induction will run all the way to the window . I was planning to do it all in V-groove in Vivid white but now second guessing myself thinking is it too much in a small space and instead do plain cabinet fronts on the lower cupboards ? Below the breakfast bench it will be V- groove too . HELLLP and thankyou

Two slightly seperate thoughts --

-- V Groove may be hard to clean ? Also , it will look a bit 'homestead' -- I don't know if that look is really right here ?

-- I suspect anything too white will not look great -- even the existing kitchen looks too much the same IMO , even allowing for ( or maybe added to by ) the avocado olive .

The first thing I noticed was the clock , because of the colours . The plaque above the stove , and the stools , also all add to the existing scheme , as they show imagination as well as colour . The things I dislike are the 2 black hanging lights , and the 'nothing' colour of the spalshback -- whilst they wouldn't really work in a red or orange or yellow while there is that avocado , in a whiter or ( ironically ) a black and white based colour scheme , brighter light shades and a complimentary splashback or tiles ( r / y / o ) would really add .

In other words , if you went white upper cupboards , do charcoal lower ones , or charcoal benchtops ( or cedar doors if going for natural wood ) ; then add some more colour to add to the overall look .

I have a cabinet already should fit there, so did think about that already...maybe I am just having a hard time picturing it. We are designing a 'contemporary' house, so I would say it is fairly modern with touches of older/more vintage pieces. I will take a picture of my cabinet tonight to see what you guys think. But I guess most photos/when I think of buffet cabinet I picture more traditional pieces. If anyone has a more modern take would be great!

Wow, that was awesome Mark, thanks for that and everyone else. I thought about the desk facing the other way actually, to avoid feeling enclosed I do have really great views there so I thought about a small couch and maybe a bookshelf on the back, but having the dining table in front is probably not the best either.... complicated :( Here are a couple more pics, today was a beautiful day so I managed to get more of the views

The blue is awesome (grey is too trendy)! The reason it stands out to you is perhaps because it's the only real colour there. Bring in the blue in a window treatment, a small appliance that sits on the counter, a pretty tray or area rug. Also, it is more appealing often if there are more than 2 colours - so right now you have a white and blue colour scheme - bring in red or orange or fushia - something from the other side of the spectrum (like you did with the yellow flowers but in a more permanent way)!

I read an interesting comment somewhere, where a lady invited a group of her friends over to lovingly point out all the problems they saw (through fresh eyes) with her home on preparation for sale. She said she was surprised at marks and damage that she had lived with for so long she no longer noticed them. We "owner built" a home previously, and when we came to sell 7 years later, we painted the garage and did those jobs that we had put off, and it became sad to finally see her at her best, at the end, when we could have been living in a completely finished home all that time. I read about a lady who decluttered her home, had it professionally cleaned (build clean, or bond clean) and had a professional styler do her home and she realised just how nice it could be and decided not to sell. :) ta
