Hi there, After advice on what kind of sink for my new house. I've always wanted a Firestone butler's sink. Are they hard to care for and keep looking nice?
Hi, Caitlin, Fire-clay sinks are actually easy to care for and very hard wearing. The decision to use this type of sink really comes down to whether it is right for the style of your kitchen.
They can be deep and cause sore backs if you are doing a lot of washing up. Also do you need a separate sink for rinsing and draining. Make sure you think about your function not just the look. There are lots of pros too - the look and size the accomodate large dishes.
