combi steam ovens

seeking recommendations on brands & sizes. I’m not sure if to go for a compact combi steam with a standard FF oven or just get larger combi steam oven. I’m in AUST so would need brands that have good back up in this country.

Can’t comment on combo steam ovens. But, all brands have excellent service centres in Australia. So any brands, smeg, Miele, westing house AEG, Bosch, Siemens, are worth looking at. You are on the Houzz Australian web site, so most comments on products would come from Australia or New Zealand.

Thanks for your comment. Your point about this being Australian Houzz 😉 but I can’t work out how to edit the post.

Ps. On brands, subject to checking their service areas (esp. if you are not ina CBD area), VZUG (Swiss), Electrolux, and I think NEFF also known for combi steams. If you are not in lockdown, perhaps check one of the appliances specialists who stock multiple brands for their feedback - eg Winning Appliances or E and S or your local equivalent. Or if you are in lockdown, check if they are offering video consultations. Personally, I have always preferred Miele appliances (but fair warning would not recommend Miele fridges). Many appliance makers offer package discounts, so it could depend on what other appliances you need.

Also, I really lean to Miele for ovens having had them before and they are reliable and cook beautifully. I believe they were the first to develop the steam ovens so that’s a plus for them. I was thinking 2 ovens but I might put the $$ into one instead. Thanks again.

Wondering what combi steam oven you decided on. Am doing a kitchen renovation and am interested in the V Zug CombiAir Steam oven to get the best of both worlds. Space is an issue so can only have one oven.

Sorry I have no further info as I had to put the oven hunting aside as the new house has needed other issues dealt with first. I live in regional vic and haven’t seen the V Zug anywhere. What do you like about it in particular?

Seems to be a good choice, the best of both in the one Oven. Steam cooking as well as the convention and also air (fan) … also looking at Miele. Decisions decisions.
